Happy Fourth of July!

We have a new intern here at Rose & Co excited to celebrate the 4th of July this Friday. Emily will be with us until mid August. She is from Washington, DC and is attending university at University of Florida.
Whether you're American or British or any other nationality everyone can have fun celebrating independence day. Have some pancakes, grill some hot dogs and hamburgers and crack open a cold beer! Don't forget to wear red white and blue!
Here is one of Emily's favourite fourth of July snacks:
Homemade Guacamole
Ingredients:
2 large avocados
1/2 red onion
handful of cilantro (that's coriander to you Brits)
1 lime
salt & pepper
hot sauce (if you like a little heat)
Directions:
To begin dice up the red onion and cilantro and throw into a medium sized mixing bowl.
Next smash the onion and cilantro together for a couple minutes.
Once mixed to your liking add the avocados and squeeze half of the lime in as well.
Smash the avocados (leaving a few chunks) with a fork.
Once your mixture starts to look like guacamole add the salt, pepper, hot sauce if you like it and the rest of the lime if its limeness is not up to your standard!
Gently mix those last ingredients in and serve with tortilla chips, carrots, tacos or anything you desire!
